General Questions

How often should I get a cleaning?

We highly recommend cleaning every 6 months, unless you need a deep cleaning then that would be every 3 months.

Do you take my insurance?

We take most major insurance carriers!

Why do I need X-rays?

In order to properly diagnose your dental health and  create an accurate treatment plan. Without x-rays, we would not have any foundation to create a personalized solution.

Dentistry

Is fluoride important?

Absolutely! It adds protection to your teeth and helps with fighting against current decay and protects against future decay.

What is a deep cleaning, and why do I need one?

If you have not gotten cleanings consistently, bacteria will build up on your gums and calcify, which needs deeper cleaning methods.

Crown vs Filling?

Crowns are used for more severe teeth trauma, including advanced decay and fractures. Fillings are used primarily for minor trauma and smaller cavities. Large fillings can fracture resulting in a tooth that may need to be extracted. That is usually why large fillings are treated with crowns.

Orthodontics

If I double my elastics, will my treatment go faster?

No, it is all about consistency

Can I eat with my retainers on?

You have to remove your retainers when you eat or drink anything

How long do I have to wear my retainers?

Full time for the first 3 months after you get your braces off, then just at nights for as long as your want your teeth straight

Oral Surgery

What can I eat after getting extractions done?

You will be on a liquid direct for the first 2 days, then you can start eating soft, smooth foods like mashed potatoes.

Why can't I get my extraction the same day?

Certain health risks and medication can impede scheduling, but we will get your appointment scheduled as quickly as possible.

What is the difference between Local Anesthesia, Twilight Anesthesia, and General Anesthesia?
